MOONSEED Collective

In spring 2020 long term collaborators Luke Birch, Anna Braithwaite and Helen Lindon (all based in Kent, UK) joined forces with Canadian dance artists Olivia C. Davies and Daisy Thompson to research and develop new ways of collaborating remotely following the cycles of the moon as their guide. 


The work of experimental composer/performer Anna Braithwaite has been heard on BBC Radio 3, Resonance FM, Radiophrenia, on BBC TV and in UK theatres. She was composer-in-residence at Quarterhouse theatre (2016) and Chatham Historic Dockyard (2019) (private link to residency work – http://www.annabraithwaite.co.uk/subhuman).



Artistic Director of O.Dela Arts and founding member of Crow’s Nest Collective (Vancouver) and Circadia Indigene Arts Collective (Ottawa), Olivia C. Davies is a contemporary Indigenous dance artist who creates choreography, installation and community projects that open different ways to see and experience the world.

Helen Lindon, artist, film-maker, gardener and climate activist, has worked internationally and locally with composers, dancers, musicians and choreographers to make work about how we inhabit our planet. These collaborations enrich her practice and make her brave. 




Daisy Thompson is a dance artist based in Canada. Highlights include dancing for Trisha Brown Dance Company (USA), Eva Karczag (Amsterdam), All Bodies Dance Project (Canada) and Battery Opera Performance (Canada). She is currently pursuing a dance PhD. http://www.oliviacdavies.ca/wishing-well-2/


Luke Birch has danced for various companies including Flexer and Sandiland, Rosemary Lee and Punchdrunk. He teaches at Trinity Laban, The Place and Salzberg Academy of Experimental Dance. MOONSEED technical consultant Nic Sandiland is a UK based artist whose work explores new choreographic forms through installation, performance and film.
